Bible Reading: Exodus 15:22-27

*🧚‍♂️Memory Verse:*

Exodus 15:22-27 (NKJV) So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.

*🗣️Confession:*

God will see me throughout all the challenges of life and give me rest roundabout in Jesus’ name.

*✍️The Message*

In the book of Exodus 15:22-24, when the children of Israel crossed the wilderness of the Red Sea, they sang a new song and moved forward to another wilderness called the wilderness of Bitterness (Marah or Shur). Wilderness of Bitterness means a place where you will suffer for food and water for three days.

God allows every believer to pass through this wilderness to prove them whether they will listen and obey all his instructions and commandments. He also allows us to pass through it to cry to him in prayer and open our eyes of understanding to see things that will be around us to solve our problems and enter into covenant with us (Exodus 15:25). *May God open your spiritual eyes of understanding to see solutions to your problems today in Jesus’ name.*

What we eat and drink have destroyed many believers of Christ, and to get to a place of rest and enjoyment in life, you need to pass through the wilderness of Bitterness.

 My days and time of wilderness of bitterness may be different from yours. In the journey of destiny, every believer will pass through the wilderness of bitterness, and I pray that God will give you grace to pass through it without sustaining injury in Jesus’ name.

In the book of Acts 9:1-15, when God determined to turn the life of Saul for good, he encountered him, made him pass through the wilderness of bitterness for three days, opened his eyes, and filled him with the Holy Spirit and power. *May God encounter the reader of this message today and fill your body, soul, and spirit with Holy Ghost power and fire in Jesus’ name.*

Without wilderness of bitterness, no glory and no place of rest. I remember the time God wanted to change my life for good. He asked me to do a three-day dry fast: no food and water for three days. Initially, I found it difficult to do it because I had an ulcer and I couldn’t fast at all. Glory be to God that gave me strength and grace to do the three days of fasting and prayer. On the last day of my fasting, God healed my ulcer, filled me with Holy Ghost power and fire. May God heal your sickness today and give you rest in Jesus’ name.

This morning, I encourage the reader of this message to endure the wilderness of bitterness, cry to God, and be sensitive to your environment. May God see you through and take you to your place of glory, honor, and rest in Jesus’ name.

1. Father, in any area where I have misbehaved towards you, please forgive me and show me your mercy in Jesus' name.

2. Father, please guide me on what to do to end the suffering in my life in Jesus' name.

3. Father, please open my spiritual eyes to see solutions to my problems and give me the grace to solve them in Jesus' name.

4. Father, please don't allow what I eat and drink to ruin my life in Jesus' name.

5. Father, please provide for me always and take me to a place of rest in Jesus' name.
